Dear colleagues,

It is our pleasure to inform you that after a difficult Covid period behind us the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering University of BanjaLuka will organize the 16th International Conference on Accomplishments in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, DEMI 2023. The conference is co-organized with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering University of Niš, Serbia, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering University of Podgorica, Montenegro, Faculty of Engineering Hunedoara University Politehnica Timișoara, Romania and Reykjavik University, Iceland. It will be held from 1st to 2nd June 2023 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Banja Luka.

Since the beginning until today the DEMI Conference has evolved, new subject fields and engineering trends have been added, thus it has strived to keep pace with advancements in mechanical engineering and its interaction with other related fields. This is why DEMI is recognized as a successful international conference in the scientific and professional community as it provides scientists, researchers, and experts with the opportunity to present their results and exchange experiences with their colleagues around the world.

Taking into account the circumstances that have generated the economic and energy crisis, but also new engineering trends turning towards new materials and technologies, circular economy and resource efficiency, the goal of this conference is to present and bring closer the results of research and developments in mechanical engineering and related disciplines to participants and the broader public. It also aims to offer how to apply these results in practice in the best possible way.

The 16th DEMI Conference is to be organized for the fourth time with the universities from Serbia, Montenegro, and Romania, with a motivation to continuously improve the quality and provide a quality platform for the academic community, researchers, engineers, and industry participants to share their experiences and establish new professional contacts.

With the intention to bring back the meaning and purpose conferences had prior to the epidemic, we would like to inform you that presentations at the DEMI Conference 2023 will be in person and live, and invite you to join us in our beautiful Banja Luka to promote knowledge and exchange ideas and experiences.
